The Jeff Jefferson era in Florence has begun, and it starts on a high note. Ray Euson dominated in 6 innings allowing zero runs and fanning four batters in his debut with the Patriots.

Senior Daniel Hussey was the first player to score for the Patriots this year, he came in on a bases-loaded walk to Jim Koza.

The next two runs for the Patriots came on a Charlie Bussey double in the following inning. The patriots were able to scrap together two more runs after an error made in the field by Tusculum.

The Patriots were able to outlast the Pioneers two run 7th inning. Senior Pitcher Josh Adams closed out the game for the Patriots, sealing their first win of the season, and the first win for new head coach Jeff Jefferson.
