Euson, known by his teammates and coaches as “Big Ray”, appeared in two preseason outings, hitting and pitching in both. Euson Joins the new look Patriots under first year head coach Jeff Jefferson following a brilliant 4 year career at Georgia Southwestern University

Euson was named the Peach Belt Conference Pitcher of the year last year after posting seven wins and only two losses. He boasted a 2.87 earned run average while only allowing hitters and .208 batting average against.

Euson also claimed 105 strikeouts which was enough to place him fourth in the nation among NCAA Division two baseball teams, while only pitching in 84.2 innings.

Euson hopes to continue to bring the spark on opening day as he will be the man on the mound to start the Patriots year against Tusculum College. The Patriots will play at 12 p.m. on Friday, followed by a double header on Saturday starting at 2 p.m.
